The castle of Maintenon welcomes the takeover of command by Lieutenant Stéphane Fabret

This morning, Thursday, October 15, 2026, the Château de Maintenon had the honor of welcoming, in its courtyard, the official ceremony to take command of the new commander of the Maintenon gendarmerie, Lieutenant Stéphane Fabret.
The soldiers of the community of brigades as well as senior officers from Lucé’s company were present alongside several civil authorities, including Jean-François Viaud, mayor of Gas, and some spectators who came to attend the event. A particularly solemn moment in military life, this ceremony officially marks the arrival of a new leader at the head of the unit.
Lieutenant Stéphane Fabret thus succeeds Nicolas Muzellec, who also took up his duties in the same capacity on November 21, 2023.
