In its issue of November 4, Des Racines et Des Ailes highlighted the "Exceptional Gardens" on the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the Jardin des Plantes.
After a broad focus on this historic Parisian garden, the show takes viewers on a verdant journey from the Greek islands to Tuscany, passing through the Aveyron and the Côte d'Azur. The Domaine de Bagatelle is invited from the middle of the report with a discovery of its park and a reminder of its history.
But it is in the very last minutes that the show creates the event by dwelling on the castle itself. Built in 1777 by the Count of Artois following a bet with Marie-Antoinette, this "Folie" is the subject of a vast project led by the Mansart Foundation, manager of the site. The public can thus discover the first spectacular results of its restoration before its upcoming reopening: the now completed copolla, the tests of colors and textures of the music room, as well as the decorations of the dining room.
Carole Gaessler closes the show from the top of the Trianon de Bagatelle, with a breathtaking view of the castle and the towers of La Défense.
