Secrets d'Histoire tonight on France 3: the Château de Bagatelle in the spotlight in an issue dedicated to Charles X

07 October 2026

This Wednesday, October 7 at 9:10 p.m., the program Secrets d'Histoire, presented by Stéphane Bern, dedicates its new issue to King Charles X.

On this occasion, the cameras of France Télévisions landed at the Château de Bagatelle, an emblematic place inseparable from the history of the sovereign. Built in 1777 following a daring bet between the future Charles X (then Count of Artois) and his sister-in-law Marie-Antoinette, this true architectural "madness" is today preserved and restored by the Mansart Foundation.

This episode will offer unpublished images of the castle and will particularly highlight the first steps of the impressive restoration project undertaken by the Foundation to restore all its brilliance to this masterpiece.

See you tonight at 9:10 pm on France 3 for an exciting dive into history and behind the scenes of heritage!
