Publication of the cartulary of Notre-Dame de Maintenon

The Mansart Foundation is very happy to have supported the publication of the Cartulaire de Notre-Dame de Maintenon, edited by the Société Archéologique d'Eure-et-Loir. This new edition, established and commented by Arlette Boué, offers an enriched translation of analyses that allow a better understanding of the history of the castle of Maintenon in the Middle Ages.

The Mansart Foundation is delighted to have been able to accompany both the author and the Archaeological Society of Eure-et-Loir, thus contributing to deepen the knowledge of Maintenon, its priory and its region at that time.

This book was also presented during an exciting conference at the castle of Maintenon, which brought together researchers and history enthusiasts. We also thank Jacques Bresson, local historian, for his lecture given the same day. These two presentations allowed to understand the heritage importance of the cartulary and to share with the public the historical richness of Maintenon.
