Exhibition: « Maintenon : de la Marquise aux Noailles, 350 ans d'histoire du domaine »

The Departmental Archives of Eure-et-Loir invite you to discover previously unpublished and never unveiled archives in an exhibition on the history of the domain of Maintenon, from the Middle Ages to the 20th century.
The exhibition presents in particular the influence of Madame de Maintenon, second wife of Louis XIV, on the history of the castle, through documents and unpublished engravings, with among others a handwritten letter from Madame de Maintenon. Several of these exceptional documents come from the archives of the Mansart Foundation.
Exhibition from September 15 to December 12, 2025.
From Monday to Thursday, from 9 am to 5:30 pm and on Friday, from 9 am to 4 pm // Free visit // Guided tours at 2 pm, on October 24, November 13 and 28 and December 12.
