Enhancement of the castle of Bagatelle by the VMF

09 December 2025

In their November-December 2025 issue, the Vieilles Maisons Françaises (VMF) dedicate a large eight-page file to the Château de Bagatelle, this elegant 18th century folly currently being restored. The association takes this opportunity to remind the importance of this unique place and to make the public discover its often unknown riches.

The magazine first returns to the astonishing story of Bagatelle, built in record time at the request of the Count of Artois. It retraces the great moments that have marked the domain and shows how its architecture and use have evolved over the centuries.

The VMF are also interested in interior decorations, whose quality is an integral part of the charm of Bagatelle. Woodwork, living rooms, decorative motifs: the file highlights the meticulous work of the artisans and the finesse of the arrangements.

By highlighting this monument in full renaissance, the number highlights the importance of preserving both buildings and their decorations in order to transmit all the richness of heritage.
