On Saturday, 22 November, the volunteers of the Mansart Foundation gathered to discover the exhibition dedicated to the Count of Artois at the Château de Maisons, as well as the restoration project of the Château de Bagatelle.
The exhibition "Le comte d'Artois, prince et mécène" allowed them to learn more about the man behind the construction of Bagatelle castle. They were also able to admire, for the first time, an armchair and a painting lent by the Mansart Foundation, which will join the permanent collections of the castle when it reopens to the public.
The volunteers then went to the castle of Bagatelle to observe the soundings made on the dome, 14 meters high. They were thus able to discover decorations revealed after several centuries of occultation.
Thank you to the teams from Château de Maisons and CMN for their welcome.
A big thank you to our volunteers for their commitment and support.
