Thanks to known portraits of Jean Cottereau’s grandsons, a painstaking process of comparison was carried out: the shape of the nose, the line of the chin, the position of the ears, the eyes, the forehead…
Little by little, certain common features emerged, allowing us to get a sense of what the Lord of Maintenon might have looked like during the Renaissance.
The final result of this reconstruction will be revealed in the coming days…
